Today, some scientific staff and HiWis from PROD had the opportunity to visit the factory of Clarios Varta Hannover GmbH together with the Hanover Association of Industrial Engineers. During the guided tour of the production halls, they were able to see how lead and lithium-ion batteries for cars and commercial vehicles are made.
In addition to the tour of the production halls, there was an exciting presentation about the structure and function of the batteries, as well as about starting a career at the company. In contrast to some other companies in the automotive industry, the economic situation at Clarios was described as very good. The Hanover site is being expanded and new skilled workers are being sought.
