Our employee Sebastian Wegel spent six weeks at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Daejeon, South Korea. In the DAIM Lab of Prof. Young Jae Jang, with whom our institute has been cooperating closely for many years, he gained valuable insights into current research work on the optimisation of large-scale material flow systems.
Mr Wegel was also able to apply these ideas to his own research in the field of steel production. In addition to the scientific collaboration, the visit also offered the opportunity for intercultural exchange and to analyse the dynamic economic and technological development of South Korea.
