Cooperative Product Engineering
In the Cooperative Product Engineering (KPE) module, students work in interdisciplinary teams on a real-life project from industry. The aim is to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical context and to jointly develop concrete solutions to business problems. The module takes place in the winter semester and is aimed at students from engineering and economics degree programmes at Leibniz University Hannover.
Contents of the module:
- Working on an industry-based project in a team
- Applying methods and knowledge from the degree programme to a real-world task
- Seminars on project management and presentation techniques
- Economics tutorial on the business classification of the project
- Collaboration with a regional industry partner
- Supervision by institutes of mechanical engineering and economics (IPH, IFA, IFW, PROD)
Students learn to plan, carry out and present a practice-oriented project on their own. In doing so, they acquire interdisciplinary skills in teamwork, project management and the targeted communication of results. The module promotes the ability to analyse complex tasks in a structured manner and develop viable solutions.
